Description
These data represent the current knowledge on the distribution (establishment) status of arthropod vectors at ‘regional’ administrative unit level NUTS3 or equivalent and NUTS2 in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, England (UK), Scotland (UK) and Wales (UK), and GAUL outside EU/EEA and Western Balkans and Türkiye, as established by experts based on reports. The eventDate indicates when this status was attributed, and is valid on the date of publishing (October 2025). The NUTS system used is that of 2021 version.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 73,922 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.
Versions
The table below shows only published versions of the resource that are publicly accessible.

Sampling Methods
Within the VectorNet project, vector group leaders (VGLs), per vector group, decide on the distribution status based on all available evidence collected, e.g., through literature analysis.
| Study Extent | Europe and the Mediterranean Basin. |

Method step description:
- Status is reassessed, at semi-regular intervals, with a target of twice per year.
