Data Fika #3: Standards, Identifiers & Metadata
Nov 13, 2026 11:00 CET - Nov 13, 2026 11:45 CET
Online
Session 3 of Data Fika, GBIF Sweden's monthly online series on biodiversity data. What the Darwin Core columns in your download mean — TDWG standards, persistent identifiers (UUIDs, RORs, ORCIDs, DOIs), metadata and ISO formats.
Taught against the file you downloaded in session 2: what the Darwin Core columns mean, the TDWG standards behind them, persistent identifiers (UUIDs, RORs, ORCIDs, DOIs) as standards applied to identity, and metadata and ISO formats.
Data Fika sessions are free, online and open to everyone — 20–30 minutes of presentation followed by about 15 minutes of hands-on work and Q&A. Email gbif@nrm.se to be added to the invitation list, and see the full programme on the Data Fika page.
